2. User-Generated Content Ownership

Contributors retain full copyright and moral rights to any original material they submit to Aevum Encyclopedia, including but not limited to written articles, translations, infographics, audio recordings, and code snippets.

By submitting content, you grant Aevum Encyclopedia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, distribute, reproduce, modify, and display your contributions solely for the purpose of maintaining and improving the encyclopedia. This license remains perpetual unless explicitly revoked in writing through our formal withdrawal process.

3. Platform & Infrastructure Ownership

Aevum Encyclopedia retains exclusive ownership of all proprietary elements of the platform, including but not limited to: source code, algorithms, user interface designs, database structures, AI training pipelines, editorial workflows, brand assets, and curated knowledge graphs. These elements are protected under applicable intellectual property laws and may not be reproduced, reverse-engineered, or commercialized without written permission.

4. Licensing & Reuse Guidelines

All original encyclopedia articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, unless otherwise specified on the article page. This means you are free to:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
• Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially
• Subject to the following conditions:
• Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
• ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

Media files (images, diagrams, audio, video) may carry additional or different licenses depending on their source. Always verify the specific license attached to each asset before reuse.

5. AI-Assisted Content & Editorial Oversight

Aevum Encyclopedia employs AI models to assist in drafting, summarizing, translating, and cross-referencing content. However, AI-generated text does not carry independent copyright status under current international frameworks. All AI-assisted material undergoes mandatory human review by verified subject-matter experts before publication.

Editorial oversight ensures factual accuracy, proper sourcing, and compliance with licensing terms. Where AI is used to synthesize public domain or openly licensed material, the resulting article remains governed by CC BY-SA 4.0. If your contribution is flagged as containing AI-generated elements, you will be notified and asked to verify or modify the content accordingly.

6. Citation & Attribution Requirements
