Overview
Aevum Encyclopedia is designed to be a comprehensive, AI-enhanced, and expert-verified knowledge repository. While we strive for accuracy, breadth, and timeliness, no knowledge platform is entirely exhaustive or immune to constraints. This document outlines the inherent limitations of our service and details the extensions available to researchers, institutions, developers, and community contributors.
Aevum Encyclopedia is intended for educational and informational purposes. It does not constitute professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice. Always consult qualified professionals for specialized guidance.
Content Limitations
Scope & Coverage
While our database spans millions of entries across 140+ languages, coverage is prioritized based on academic consensus, verifiability, and global relevance. Niche, hyper-local, or rapidly emerging topics may have limited or delayed documentation.
Accuracy & Verification
All articles undergo AI-assisted cross-referencing and human editorial review. However, knowledge evolves. Information may become outdated, and edge cases or contested theories are presented with appropriate academic caveats but cannot guarantee absolute certainty in all contexts.
Timeliness
Real-time updates are automated for breaking events, but complex topics requiring expert consensus may experience a verification window of 24–72 hours before publication.
Licensing & Redistribution
Content is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 for personal and educational use. Commercial redistribution, algorithmic training without attribution, or unmodified bulk scraping is restricted. See our full Terms of Service for details.
Technical Boundaries
- AI Search Context Window: Semantic queries are optimized for academic and technical language. Highly colloquial, ambiguous, or context-heavy natural language may require refinement.
- Knowledge Graph Depth: While interconnections are mapped extensively, non-linear or speculative relationships are flagged as "theoretical" to prevent misinformation.
- Accessibility: Platform features are WCAG 2.1 compliant. Legacy browser support is limited to Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+, and Edge 90+.
- Offline Access: Core datasets are cacheable via PWA, but real-time AI features and collaborative editing require an active connection.
