The Platform Society
A decentralized, meritocratic network of contributors, editors, and subject-matter experts building the most trusted knowledge commons on the web. Every voice matters, every claim is verified, every decision is transparent.
Governance Framework
Aevum Encyclopedia runs on a transparent, community-driven model that balances speed with academic rigor. Our three-pillar system ensures knowledge remains neutral, accurate, and accessible.
Consensus-Driven Editing
Major policy changes, guideline updates, and structural shifts require community voting. Thresholds scale with impact, ensuring broad agreement for platform-level decisions.
Peer Review Tiers
Every article passes through automated fact-checking, community review, and SME validation. Disputed claims are flagged, archived, and resolved through open debate.
Conflict Resolution Board
Trusted mediators handle editorial disputes, citation conflicts, and neutrality challenges. All hearings are documented and publicly accessible.

Community Guidelines
Our rules exist to protect accuracy, neutrality, and inclusivity. All contributors are expected to uphold these standards in every interaction and edit.
- Neutral Point of ViewAll articles must present multiple perspectives fairly. Avoid loaded language, advocacy framing, or unsupported absolute claims.
- Verifiability Over TruthContent doesn't need to be universally accepted to be included, but it must be traceable to reliable, published sources. Original research is strictly prohibited.
- Living DocumentationArticles are expected to evolve. Stale information, broken links, and outdated consensus should be flagged and updated promptly.
- Zero Tolerance for HarassmentPersonal attacks, dog-whistles, and coordinated editing campaigns will result in immediate suspension. Appeals are handled by the Conflict Resolution Board.
- Conflict of Interest DisclosureContributors must declare professional, financial, or personal ties to subjects they edit. Undisclosed COIs are grounds for role revocation.
- Collaborative SpiritDisagree with the content, not the person. Use talk pages for debate, assume good faith, and prioritize consensus over dominance.
- Primary & Secondary SourcesPrioritize peer-reviewed journals, official publications, and established media. Primary sources require secondary verification for contested claims.
- Dynamic LinkingUse persistent identifiers (DOI, ISBN, Stable URLs). Broken citations trigger automatic archival alerts and community restoration workflows.
- AI-Generated Content PolicyAI tools may assist with drafting and formatting, but all factual claims must be human-verified. Undisclosed AI generation is prohibited.
- Universal DesignAll articles must include alt-text for images, readable contrast ratios, and semantic heading structures. Screen-reader compatibility is mandatory.
- Plain Language OptionComplex topics must offer a simplified summary tier. Jargon should be defined inline or linked to foundational articles.
- Multilingual ParityTranslation efforts are prioritized equally. No language edition receives preferential algorithmic treatment or editorial blocking.
