How Enforcement Works
Our moderation process is transparent, fair, and designed to protect both the community and individual rights.
1. Detection & Reporting
Violations may be flagged by automated systems, community reports, or our editorial team. Every report is logged and timestamped for review.
2. Triage & Assessment
A trained moderator evaluates the reported content against these guidelines. Severity, context, intent, and contributor history are all considered.
3. Notification & Review Window
Contributors are notified of the violation and given a 72-hour window to respond or appeal (except for Tier 4 violations, which are immediate).
4. Action & Communication
Appropriate enforcement action is applied. The contributor receives detailed documentation of the decision, reasoning, and any appeal process available.
5. Appeal Process
Contributors may appeal decisions through our formal appeals board within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by senior editors not involved in the original decision.

Yes. AI-assisted content is welcome and increasingly common, but it must be clearly disclosed as such, fact-checked by a human contributor, and still fully comply with these prohibited content guidelines. AI hallucinations presented as verified facts are treated as misinformation violations.
Creating alternate accounts to circumvent bans (sockpuppeting) is itself a violation. Our systems detect patterns of evasion, and repeat offenders face permanent device-level restrictions. Legitimate new users are always welcome, but evading enforcement is treated as an escalation of the original violation.
Academic research and educational content are core to our mission. However, even in these contexts, certain content (such as child exploitation or instructions for illegal acts) has no exceptions. Topics like pharmacology, cybersecurity, or historical violence are covered through rigorous, peer-reviewed, and appropriately contextualized articles.
