Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a PhD or prior publishing experience?
No. We prioritize curiosity, writing clarity, and research rigor. Undergraduates, graduate students, and independent researchers are all encouraged to apply. A strong application includes a writing sample and a brief research proposal.
How much time should I commit weekly?
Plan for 8–10 hours per week. This includes reading, drafting, peer reviews, and two 60-minute synchronous sessions (workshops or mentor calls). All sessions are recorded.
What happens to my work after the program?
All completed entries are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. You retain authorship credit, and your contributions remain permanently linked to your Aevum profile.
Is the stipend taxable?
Stipend tax obligations depend on your country of residence. Aevum classifies this as an educational fellowship award. We provide a standard payment form and can supply necessary documentation for your local tax authority.
