9. Termination

9.1 Termination by User

You may terminate your Aevum News account or subscription at any time by accessing your account settings or contacting our support team. Upon termination, your access to premium content and features will cease immediately.

• Free accounts may be deactivated by changing your account status in the settings panel.
• Subscribed accounts will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds will be issued unless required by applicable law.
• Account deletion requests may be submitted via the privacy portal and will be processed within thirty (30) days of verification.

9.2 Termination by Aevum News

Aevum News reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services, with or without prior notice, if we determine in our sole discretion that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or compromised the security of our platform.

• Repeated terms violations may result in permanent account suspension and IP banning.
• Unauthorized scraping, API abuse, credential sharing, or circumvention of access controls will trigger immediate termination.
• We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you prior to termination, except in cases involving severe security breaches or legal obligations.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account or subscription, your right to access and use Aevum News services will immediately cease. Any outstanding payments due to us will become immediately payable, regardless of the reason for termination. We reserve the right to report fraudulent activities to relevant authorities.

9.4 Survival

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in full force and effect, including but not limited to: ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law. Aevum News will retain your usage data, payment records, and account information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal retention requirements.

9.5 Refunds & Outstanding Payments

Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws, all fees paid to Aevum News are non-refundable. If your termination results directly from our material breach of these Terms, we will refund any unused portion of your pre-paid subscription on a pro-rata basis within fourteen (14) business days.
