How long will it take to process my request?
We aim to respond to all requests within 30 calendar days. For complex requests, this may be extended by up to 60 additional days, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it within the initial 30-day period.
Will I need to verify my identity?
Yes. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. This typically involves confirming the email address associated with your account. For account deletion requests, we may require additional verification steps.
Can I withdraw my consent at any time?
Absolutely. You can withdraw consent at any time using the toggle switches in the Consent Controls section above, or by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any Aevum News email. Withdrawal is immediate and free of charge.
Is there a fee for submitting a data request?
No. All data subject requests are provided free of charge. We may only charge a reasonable fee if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, particularly if it is repetitive. In such cases, we will inform you in advance.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Upon account deletion, your personal data (account info, reading history, preferences) is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics, and payment records may be kept longer to comply with legal and tax obligations.
Can I appeal if my request is denied?
Yes. If we cannot fulfill your request for any reason, we will provide a clear explanation. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For EU residents, this may be the supervisory authority in your member state.
