Role Overview
The Venture Partner will serve as a strategic architect within Aevum Zenth’s corporate venture arm, working directly with C-suite executives across our 400+ subsidiaries. You will identify, evaluate, and integrate disruptive technologies and high-potential startups that align with our core verticals—energy, AI, aerospace, healthcare, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.
This is not a traditional VC role. You will operate with the mandate of a strategic executive, leveraging the conglomerate’s global footprint to de-risk venture investments, accelerate commercialization, and build long-term ecosystem moats. You’ll bridge the gap between emerging innovation and enterprise-scale deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end venture diligence, from initial sourcing to term sheet negotiation and post-investment integration
- Partner with divisional heads to map technology roadmaps and identify white-space opportunities for strategic acquisition or co-development
- Structure joint ventures, corporate innovation labs, and accelerator programs across APAC, EMEA, and Americas
- Present investment theses and portfolio performance metrics to the Executive Investment Committee and Board of Directors
- Cultivate relationships with global startup founders, university research programs, and sovereign wealth partners
- Design cross-divisional synergies that unlock revenue streams through shared infrastructure, data, and distribution
Qualifications
- 10+ years in corporate venture capital, strategic investment, or high-growth startup leadership
- Proven track record of leading investments or partnerships in deep tech, climate infrastructure, AI/ML, or advanced manufacturing
- Exceptional financial modeling and portfolio construction skills; comfortable navigating complex cap tables and regulatory environments
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to boards, C-suite stakeholders, and global investment committees
- Fluency in cross-cultural negotiation and international market dynamics
- MBA, MSc in relevant field, or equivalent demonstrated experience highly preferred
