Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch tracks after the program begins?
Track changes are permitted within the first 8 weeks if mutually agreed upon by both track leads, provided lab capacity allows. After that, resources and mentorship are fully committed to your initial specialization.
Is travel required during the fellowship?
The program is primarily lab-based at our Neo Geneva or secondary regional hubs. However, fellows are expected to attend the mid-year symposium in Munich and the final Demo Day, with travel expenses fully covered.
How does intellectual property work?
Fellows retain academic publication rights. Patents resulting from fellowship work are jointly filed between Aevum Zenth and the fellow, with royalty structures outlined in the pre-employment agreement.
Are remote fellowships available?
Due to the hands-on nature of quantum hardware work and cryogenic lab requirements, fellowships require on-site presence. Hybrid arrangements are only available for pure software/QML tracks.
What happens after the fellowship ends?
Graduates join the Aevum Quantum Alumni network. Exceptional fellows receive full-time Research Scientist or Principal Engineer offers. Others receive career placement support across our 400 subsidiaries and partner institutions.
