A multidisciplinary art & design exploration of transient beauty, digital nature, and the intersection of organic forms with modern aesthetics.
"Ephemeral Landscapes" began as a conceptual response to the accelerating pace of modern life and our disconnect from natural cycles. Commissioned as a cross-platform visual campaign and exhibition, the project translates the impermanence of natural phenomena—dew, fog, shifting light, and weathering surfaces—into a cohesive design language.
Our approach blended generative algorithms, traditional watercolor techniques, and spatial installation design. The result is a series of 24 digital prints, a mobile AR experience, and a physical gallery installation that responds to real-time environmental data.
Every element was crafted to evoke a sense of quiet contemplation while pushing the boundaries of how digital and physical art can coexist. The project was featured in Digital Arts Review and won the 2024 Creative Innovation Award for Experiential Design.
How we translated an abstract concept into a multi-sensory experience
We spent weeks documenting natural micro-landscapes, studying atmospheric optics, and interviewing ecologists to ground the visuals in scientific authenticity.
Using TouchDesigner and custom Python scripts, we built responsive visual systems that reacted to ambient temperature, humidity, and time-of-day data.
The final gallery space was designed to guide visitors through a narrative arc, blending physical prints with AR overlays and ambient soundscapes.
