Automotive work involves serious risks. We prioritize safety above all else. All advice shared should include appropriate safety warnings.

We celebrate diversity in our community—from daily drivers to exotic builds. Treat every member with respect, regardless of their experience level, vehicle choice, or background.

• No Trolling or Harassment: Constructive criticism is welcome; personal attacks are not.
• Be Patient: Remember that everyone started as a beginner. Answer questions kindly.
• No Gatekeeping: We don't judge "cheap" tools or "basic" cars. Help people where they are.
• Keep it On-Topic: Keep discussions relevant to automotive topics. Off-topic chats belong in designated areas.

High-quality content makes our community valuable. Here's how to contribute effectively:

1. Be Specific: Include year, make, model, engine size, and mileage when asking for help.
2. Use Photos/Videos: Visuals dramatically improve troubleshooting accuracy.
3. Cite Sources: Reference service manuals, factory procedures, or reputable sources when possible.
4. Mark Solutions: If your problem is solved, mark the solution to help others.
5. Proofread: Clear communication prevents dangerous misunderstandings.

The following content is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal:

• Illegal Modifications: Advice on defeating emissions systems, catalytic converters, or safety features for street vehicles.
• Theft or Fencing: Posts related to stolen vehicles, parts, or tools.
• Hate Speech & Discrimination: Attacks based on race, gender, religion, orientation, or disability.
• Spam & Self-Promotion: Unsolicited links, affiliate links without disclosure, or repetitive posting.
• Dangerous Advice: "Skip the safety steps" or "Just bypass the warning" type advice.
• Sexual or Explicit Content: "Naked car" photos are not acceptable.
• Doxxing: Sharing personal information of other members without consent.

Respect the work of others:

• Original Content: Credit authors when sharing guides, photos, or videos not your own.
• No Copyright Infringement: Do not post paid manual content, proprietary wiring diagrams, or factory service information you don't have rights to share.
• Trademark Respect: Using car brand names for identification is fine; don't use logos to imply official affiliation.

We use a progressive enforcement system to maintain community standards:

1. Warning: First minor offense may result in a private warning and post removal.
2. Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations may result in a 3-30 day suspension.
3. Permanent Ban: Severe violations, repeat offenders, or egregious breaches result in a permanent account ban.

Administrators reserve the right to take immediate permanent action for severe violations including threats, illegal activity, or harassment.
