⚖️ Fair Play & Cheating

As a chess platform, fair play is paramount. Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage is a severe violation.

Prohibited Actions

• Using chess engines, AI assistants, or analysis tools during live games.
• Receiving advice from another person during a game.
• Creating alt accounts to evade detection or manipulate ratings.
• Intentional draw-jacking or time-wasting to manipulate rankings.
• Using bots or automated scripts to play games.

🤝 Harassment & Respect

We foster an inclusive environment. Harassment will not be tolerated in any form, including but not limited to:

• Threats of violence or intimidation.
• Hate speech based on race, gender, religion, disability, or orientation.
• Sexual harassment or unwelcome sexual content.
• Doxxing or sharing private personal information.
• Repeated, targeted hostility toward specific users.

Sportsmanship Note: Losing a game can be frustrating, but trash-talking, insulting opponents, or refusing to shake hands (in chat) is unacceptable. Play to improve, not to demean.

📢 Spam & Advertising

Unsolicited content disrupts the community experience.

• No Spam: Repeating the same message across multiple threads or flooding the chat is prohibited.
• Advertising: Self-promotion, affiliate links, or external marketing requires prior approval from moderation. Use the designated #advertisements channel if applicable.
• Scams: Requests for money, crypto, or personal details are strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate ban.

📝 Content Standards

Posts, comments, and game annotations must adhere to these standards:

• Accuracy: Misinformation about chess rules or theory should be corrected constructively. Deliberate misinformation is not allowed.
• Copyright: Respect intellectual property. Do not post copyrighted material without permission.
• Offensive Content: Gore, hate symbols, or sexually explicit images are prohibited.
• Forum Etiquette: Post in the correct category. Use clear, descriptive titles for threads.

🚩 Reporting Violations

You play a vital role in maintaining our community. If you witness a violation:

1. Click the Report button on the post, game, or user profile.
2. Provide a clear description of the issue and any evidence (screenshots, links).
3. Avoid engaging with the violator; let the moderators handle it.

🔨 Enforcement Actions

Moderators and administrators will review all reports and take appropriate action. Consequences scale based on severity and recurrence:

Users have the right to appeal bans by contacting appeals@chessmasterforum.com. Appeals will be reviewed within 7-14 business days.
