No. Paws Source telemedicine is designed for non-emergency health concerns, behavioral questions, medication follow-ups, and general wellness advice. If your pet is experiencing life-threatening symptoms (difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, collapse, etc.), please contact an emergency vet clinic or animal poison control immediately.
Yes. Every veterinarian on our platform is fully licensed, board-certified, and undergoes strict background and credential verification. You can view each vet's credentials and specialties before booking.
In many states, tele-vets can prescribe medications for ongoing conditions, minor infections, and preventive care. However, controlled substances and certain species-specific medications may require an in-person exam depending on local regulations.
Our vets will always prioritize your pet's safety. If an examination, lab work, or imaging is required, they will provide a detailed referral to trusted local clinics and help coordinate your next steps.
