Core Journalistic Principles

At The Daily Pulse, trust is earned through consistency, rigor, and an unwavering dedication to the truth. These five pillars govern every editorial decision we make.

🎯

Accuracy First

Every fact is verified through multiple independent sources. We prioritize precision over speed.

⚖️

Independence

Our editorial team operates with complete autonomy, free from political, commercial, or personal influence.

🤝

Fairness & Balance

We present all sides of complex issues, giving subjects the right of reply and avoiding bias.

🛡️

Accountability

We own our mistakes. Corrections are published prominently and promptly when errors occur.

🔍

Transparency

We disclose funding sources, potential conflicts, and our editorial process openly.

Editorial Guidelines & Protocols

Our newsroom follows a strict set of operational standards to ensure consistent, ethical coverage across all platforms and sections.

  • Sourcing & Verification

All claims must be substantiated by at least two credible, independent sources. Official documents, data sets, and on-the-record interviews are preferred. Rumors and unverified social media posts are never published as fact.

  • Use of Anonymous Sources

Anonymous sources are used only when disclosure would endanger the individual, compromise an investigation, or reveal protected intelligence. All anonymous tips are independently verified before use.

  • Artificial Intelligence Policy

AI tools may assist in data analysis, transcription, and workflow optimization, but never in generating original news content, op-eds, or investigative reporting. Any AI-assisted visuals or data visualizations are clearly labeled.

  • Photography & Video Ethics

We do not stage scenes, manipulate images, or use misleading angles. Stock footage is only used for illustration and is always captioned as such. Victims of trauma are depicted with dignity and consent.

  • Corrections Policy

Material errors are corrected immediately within the original article, with a visible correction note at the top and bottom. Significant retractions are published on our homepage for 24 hours.

Transparency & Editorial Independence

The Daily Pulse maintains a strict firewall between our newsroom and commercial operations. Our commitment to unbiased reporting is protected by clear structural and financial boundaries.

  • Funding Model: Revenue is derived from reader subscriptions, verified advertising, and licensed content syndication. No single advertiser contributes more than 5% of total revenue.
  • Editorial Firewall: Sales, marketing, and executive teams have zero editorial oversight. Journalists report directly to section editors and the Managing Editor.
  • Advertising Standards: All sponsored content is clearly labeled. We do not accept advertising from entities involved in active litigation covered by our newsroom.
  • Conflict of Interest: All staff must disclose financial holdings, political affiliations, and personal relationships that could intersect with coverage areas. Recusal policies are enforced automatically.

Report an Ethical Concern

We welcome feedback from readers, sources, and members of the public. If you believe a story violates our standards, contains uncorrected misinformation, or involves unethical reporting, our independent Ethics Board will review your submission confidentially.

Submit a Concern to the Ethics Board

Whistleblower protection and source confidentiality are strictly guaranteed.
