The Business Sites 340K collection was assembled through a multi-year initiative targeting early commercial web properties. We utilized period-accurate crawling agents running Netscape Navigator 4.0 and Internet Explorer 5.0 user agents to trigger legacy server-side rendering and CGI responses that modern browsers would skip.
Each archive record includes the raw HTML, embedded media, server response headers, and a rendered PNG snapshot. Proprietary scripts and database connections have been emulated where possible to preserve dynamic functionality.
