Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take for a submitted URL to be archived? +
Standard crawls typically complete within 24–48 hours depending on server load and page complexity. High-priority submissions may be processed within a few hours. You'll receive an email notification once the capture is verified and rendered.
Why are some images or MIDI files missing from restored pages? +
Early web content often relied on relative paths or third-party hosts that no longer exist. Our preservation system attempts to reconstruct broken links, but some assets may be permanently lost. We recommend submitting original source files if you have them for manual patching.
Can I download the raw HTML/CSS from archived snapshots? +
Yes! Pro and Enterprise plans include a "Raw Source Export" feature that packages the exact HTML, CSS, JS, and media assets as they were captured. Free tier users can view the source code directly in the browser inspector.
How do I reset my API key if it was compromised? +
Navigate to Settings > Developer > API Keys. Click the trash icon next to the compromised key to revoke it instantly. Generate a new key immediately. All rate limits and permissions will reset with the new credential.
Do you support framesets and table-based layouts? +
Absolutely. Our rendering engine preserves legacy document structures exactly as authored. We do not modernize layouts automatically unless you explicitly enable the "Compatibility Mode" toggle in viewer settings.
