Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Aevum Encyclopedia, privacy is not an afterthought—it is architectural. We have designed our platform from the ground up to minimize data collection, maximize transparency, and give you absolute control over your digital footprint. We do not sell user data, we do not track cross-site browsing behavior, and we never use your personal information for third-party advertising.

Our infrastructure is built on the principle of data minimization. We only collect what is strictly necessary to provide a seamless, personalized knowledge experience, and we retain it only for as long as required to fulfill that purpose.

Data Sovereignty & Regional Routing

Data sovereignty means your information stays under your legal and geographical jurisdiction. We respect national data residency laws and have implemented regional data routing across our global infrastructure.

🔐 Zero-Knowledge Architecture

Sensitive personal identifiers are never stored in plaintext. We use cryptographic hashing and tokenization to ensure even our systems cannot reverse-engineer your identity.

📤 Portability First

You can export your entire account history, reading preferences, and contribution data at any time in standard, machine-readable formats (JSON, CSV).

Note: Public encyclopedia content (articles, citations, media) is openly accessible and not subject to personal data restrictions. Only account-specific, behavioral, and contribution metadata falls under privacy protections.

AI & Knowledge Processing Standards

Our AI-driven search, recommendation, and content-enhancement systems operate under strict data governance:

  • Anonymized Inference: AI models process queries in ephemeral memory. No persistent user profiles are built from search behavior.
  • No Training on Private Data: Your personal messages, draft contributions, and private notes are explicitly excluded from model training datasets.
  • Transparency Layers: Every AI-suggested citation or summary includes a traceability panel showing source origins and confidence metrics.
  • Opt-In Advanced Features: Personalized learning paths and adaptive reading recommendations are disabled by default and require explicit consent.

Your Rights & Controls

We empower you with granular controls accessible directly from your dashboard:

  • Right to Access: Download a complete, structured archive of all data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Update or correct personal information in real-time.
  • Right to Erasure: Permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
  • Right to Restriction: Freeze processing of your data while disputes are resolved.
  • Cookie & Tracking Control: Manage essential, analytics, and functional cookies via a persistent preference center.

All requests are processed within statutory timeframes (typically 7–14 business days) and confirmed via encrypted email.

Security & Infrastructure
