To support our mission of building the world's most accurate, accessible knowledge platform, Aevum Encyclopedia is implementing a strategic restructuring to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and accelerate innovation.
π Effective Date: July 1, 2025 | π Revision: 1.2
This restructuring is not about reductionβit is about realignment. As we scale to support 2.4M+ articles across 140 languages, we must evolve our internal structure to match the complexity and ambition of our work. We are consolidating overlapping functions, empowering regional editorial hubs, and investing heavily in AI-assisted research workflows. Your dedication has brought us here, and we are committed to ensuring this transition is transparent, supported, and ultimately empowering for every team member.
Regional editorial teams are merging into three centralized hubs (Americas, EMEA, APAC) to improve consistency, reduce duplication, and accelerate peer review cycles.
Data science, NLP engineering, and research operations are combining into a single "Knowledge Intelligence" division to align AI development with editorial standards.
Mid-level management layers are being streamlined. Subject-matter leads will now report directly to division heads, fostering faster decision-making and clearer ownership.
Expanding internal support for our 180K+ volunteer contributors with dedicated onboarding, training pathways, and multilingual editorial assistance.

Base compensation, equity, and benefits packages remain unchanged. New role titles or reporting lines do not trigger compensation reviews unless explicitly approved as part of a promotion pathway.
