Antikythera Mechanism
The Antikythera mechanism is an ancient Greek hand-powered orrery, described as the oldest known example of an analogue computer. Discovered in 1901 in the Antikythera shipwreck off the Greek island of Antikythera, it was dated to between 150 and 100 BC. The device is remarkably complex, comprising over 30 bronze gears.
