Transaction & Billing FAQ
How are API requests counted?
Each authenticated GET or POST call to the Aevum API counts as one request. Batch endpoints (max 50 items) count as a single transaction. Rate limiting is enforced at 100 RPS by default.
What happens if I exceed my monthly quota?
We automatically enable overage billing at the published rate. You'll receive email alerts at 80%, 100%, and 120% usage. You can set hard caps in your dashboard to prevent unexpected charges.
Are there refunds for unused requests?
No. Tiers are subscription-based and requests do not roll over. If you consistently underuse your quota, we recommend downgrading to a lower tier or switching to our pay-as-you-go micro-transaction model.
How does the verification fee work for contributors?
Premium Contributors submit articles for expert review. The first 10 submissions per month are free. Additional submissions are charged at $2.50 each to cover reviewer compensation and moderation overhead.
Can I pay with institutional procurement or PO?
Yes. Institutional and Enterprise accounts support purchase orders, wire transfers, and Net-30 terms. Contact our sales team to set up your billing method.
