Our Editorial Standards
Aevum News operates under a strict editorial firewall. Our reporting, analysis, and opinions are never influenced by advertisers, corporate sponsors, political entities, or external stakeholders. Editorial decisions are made solely by our newsroom leadership based on journalistic merit and public interest.
Core Principles
- Verification over speed: Every story undergoes multi-source verification before publication.
- Clear labeling: News, analysis, opinion, and sponsored content are distinctly marked.
- Source transparency: We disclose sources when possible and explain methodologies for data-driven reporting.
- Bias mitigation: Our editorial guidelines mandate balanced coverage and fact-based framing.
Note: Our editorial team reports directly to the Editor-in-Chief. The publishing board has zero oversight over story selection, angles, or editorial judgment.
Funding & Revenue Sources
We maintain complete transparency about how Aevum News is funded. Our revenue streams are diversified to protect editorial independence and ensure long-term sustainability.
Revenue Breakdown
- Subscriber Revenue (42%) — Paid memberships, digital subscriptions, and premium content tiers.
- Display & Programmatic Advertising (28%) — Strictly separated from editorial content; managed through vetted ad partners.
- Sponsorships & Native Content (18%) — Clearly labeled, produced by a separate commercial team, never mixed with news reporting.
- Events & Licensing (12%) — Conferences, syndication deals, and archival access.
We publish an annual financial summary for public review. Our operations are funded independently, and we accept no grants from governments, political campaigns, or organizations that could compromise our editorial independence.
Advertising Disclosure Policy
Aevum News accepts advertising and sponsorships to support our journalism, but we enforce strict boundaries to maintain trust:
- All sponsored content is clearly labeled as "Sponsored", "Partner Content", or "Advertisement".
- Advertisers have zero influence over news coverage, story selection, or editorial language.
- We prohibit ads from companies engaged in illegal activities, hate speech, or deceptive practices.
- Our ad server complies with IAB standards and provides user controls for personalized advertising.
For advertisers seeking partnership guidelines or media kits, please contact our commercial team at ads@aevumnews.com.
Corrections & Retractions Policy
We hold ourselves to the highest standard of accuracy. When errors occur, we address them promptly and transparently:
- Minor Errors: Corrected inline with a discreet editor's note and timestamp.
- Significant Errors: Prominently corrected at the top of the article, with an explanation of the original mistake and the correction.
- Retractions: Reserved for stories with fundamental factual failures. Retractions are published as standalone articles, archived, and linked from the original URL.
All corrections and retractions are logged in our public Corrections & Retractions Archive. You may submit correction requests to editors@aevumnews.com.
