11. Changes to Terms of Service
BookEase is committed to providing clear, transparent, and up-to-date terms that govern your use of our platform. Because the digital services landscape evolves continuously, we may occasionally need to update this Agreement. This section outlines how we handle modifications, how you will be notified, and what rights you retain.
11.1 Right to Modify
BookEase reserves the sole right to modify, amend, or replace any part of these Terms at any time. Such changes may be made to comply with applicable laws, implement new features, update security protocols, or reflect changes in our business operations.
11.2 Notification Process
We will notify users of any changes through one or more of the following methods:
- Email Notification: Sent to the address associated with your primary account.
- In-Platform Alert: A prominent banner or popup will appear upon your next login.
- Website Update: The revised Terms will be published with an updated “Last Modified” date.
- Push Notification: For registered mobile app users, where applicable.
For non-material changes (e.g., grammatical corrections, structural reorganization, or minor clarifications), we may not issue a separate notice. Material changes will always be accompanied by explicit notification.
11.3 Effective Dates & Grace Periods
All changes will specify an effective date. Generally:
- Material Changes: Will take effect no sooner than 30 days from the date of notification.
- Non-Material Changes: May take effect immediately upon posting.
- Legal/Security Updates: May take effect immediately if required to comply with applicable law, regulatory obligations, or to address critical security vulnerabilities.
11.4 Your Consent & Acceptance
By accessing, browsing, or using BookEase after the effective date of any modifications, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the updated Terms and agree to be bound by them. No separate signature or explicit opt-in is required for standard revisions, though enterprise customers may receive customized amendment procedures per their service agreements.
11.5 Opt-Out & Account Termination
If you do not agree with any modifications to these Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of BookEase and request account closure. You may do so by contacting our support team or submitting a closure request via your account settings. Upon closure, all active bookings will be canceled in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, and your personal data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.
11.6 Archived Versions
For transparency and record-keeping, BookEase maintains an archive of previous versions of these Terms. You may request access to historical versions by contacting our legal department. Note that only the currently published version is legally binding.
