This section outlines the conditions under which your EduVerse account and access to our platform, courses, and services may be terminated, either by you or by EduVerse. Termination may occur for various reasons, including voluntary cancellation, breach of our Terms of Service, inactivity, or other lawful grounds.
Please review this policy carefully. Certain rights, such as access to purchased content or certification records, may be affected upon termination.
8.2 User-Initiated Termination
You may choose to terminate your EduVerse account or cancel your active subscription at any time by following these steps:

- Account Deletion: To permanently delete your account, contact our Support Team via hello@eduverse.com or use the account deletion tool in your profile settings. Deletion is irreversible.
- Data Retention: Upon deletion, personal data will be anonymized or removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
8.3 EduVerse-Initiated Termination
EduVerse reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services, with or without notice, in the following circumstances:

- Inactivity: Accounts inactive for 24 consecutive months may be deactivated to conserve resources.
- Payment Failure: Repeated failed payment attempts for subscription or course purchases.
Where practicable, EduVerse will provide written notice via email outlining the reason for termination and the effective date.
8.4 Effects of Termination
Upon termination of your account, whether initiated by you or by EduVerse:
- Access to premium courses, learning management systems, and exclusive resources will be immediately revoked.
- Active certificates and completed course records may remain in our archived system for verification purposes, but digital badges will no longer be accessible.

- You remain responsible for any fees or charges incurred prior to the termination date.
8.5 Refunds & Outstanding Balances
Refund eligibility following termination is subject to our Refund Policy:
- Voluntary Cancellation: Pro-rated refunds may be issued for annual subscriptions cancelled within the first 30 days. Monthly subscriptions are not refundable for partial months.
- Termination by EduVerse: No refunds will be issued if termination results from a breach of Terms, fraudulent activity, or academic misconduct.
- Outstanding Fees: If you owe any outstanding balances at the time of termination, EduVerse reserves the right to pursue collection or offset any pending refunds against the owed amount.
