4.5 Data Retention & Deletion
We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type:
- Active Accounts: Data retained for the duration of your account plus a 90-day grace period after deletion requests.

To request deletion of your personal data, visit Settings → Privacy → Data Management or contact our support team. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
4.6 Policy Updates
As family needs and technology evolve, we may update this policy to reflect new practices, legal requirements, or service features. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of FamilyNest after changes constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
