At FamilyNest, the safety, privacy, and well-being of children and families is our highest priority. This Parental Consent Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from users under the age of 18, and the role parents and guardians play in our platform.

2 Scope & Coverage

This policy applies to all FamilyNest services and platforms that may be accessed by or collect information from minors, including:

3 Information We Collect from Children

We take a minimal, purposeful approach to data collection from minors. We only collect information that is directly necessary to provide our services, and we always do so with verifiable parental consent.

4 How Parental Consent Works

FamilyNest uses a Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC) process before any personal information is collected from a child under 13. Our consent process is designed to be clear, transparent, and secure.

The Consent Process:

1. 1 Discovery: When a child attempts to access age-restricted features, a parental consent prompt appears explaining exactly what information will be collected and why.
2. 2 Verification: Parents verify their identity and relationship to the child through our secure verification process (email confirmation, credit card token, or other VPC-compliant method).
3. 3 Informed Consent: Parents review our consent form, which clearly describes what data will be collected, how it will be used, and the rights they retain.
4. 4 Confirmation: Upon consent, parents receive a confirmation email summarizing their permissions and providing easy access to manage or revoke consent at any time.

5 Your Rights as a Parent

We believe parents should have full control and transparency over their children's data and platform interactions. Under this policy, you have the following rights:

• Right to Review: You can review the personal information we have collected from your child at any time, free of charge.
• Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of all or specific portions of your child's personal information from our systems.
• Right to Consent Selectively: You can choose which specific services or features your child can access, rather than granting blanket consent.
• Right to Revocation: You can revoke consent at any time, after which we will cease collecting and delete existing personal information from your child (within 30 days).

7 Withdrawing Consent & Opting Out

You may withdraw your consent at any time, for all or specific services. When you withdraw consent:

• Your child's access to the affected service(s) will be suspended immediately
• We will delete your child's personal information from our active systems within 30 days
• Archival records required by law may be retained, but will be separated from personal identifiers
• You will receive written confirmation once the deletion is complete
