Mapping the Future,
One Layer at a Time

From a university research lab to a global geospatial infrastructure provider, our journey is defined by precision, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to making spatial data accessible to all.

Born from a Shared Frustration

In 2012, a small team of geographers, software engineers, and data scientists at a mid-tier research institute faced a common problem: geospatial tools were either too expensive, too fragmented, or too rigid for modern workflows.

They built a prototype in a basement server roomβ€”a lightweight, open-standard mapping engine that could handle real-time layers without breaking the bank. That prototype became GeoServer.

Today, we power critical infrastructure for environmental agencies, urban planners, logistics networks, and research institutions across 150+ countries. But our core mission remains unchanged: democratize spatial intelligence.

🧭

🎯 Our Mission

To provide enterprise-grade geospatial infrastructure that is accessible, interoperable, and sustainable. We believe accurate spatial data should drive smarter decisions in climate action, urban development, supply chain optimization, and disaster response.

πŸ” Our Vision

A world where location intelligence is seamlessly integrated into every layer of human infrastructure. We envision a future where geospatial data breaks down silos, empowers communities, and accelerates sustainable innovation globally.

Core Values

The principles that guide our engineering, partnerships, and growth.

πŸ“

Precision

We treat accuracy as non-negotiable. Every coordinate, layer, and query is optimized for reliability.

πŸ”“

Open Standards

We champion OGC compliance, interoperability, and transparent data exchange protocols.

🌱

Sustainability

Our infrastructure is carbon-aware, and we actively support geospatial projects for environmental conservation.

🀝

Collaboration

We build with our users, contribute to open-source, and foster a community-driven roadmap.
