California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice
Effective Date: January 1, 2025 | Last Updated: October 15, 2025This California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice supplements the Paws Source Privacy Policy and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). We adopt this notice to comply with the CCPA and subsequent amendments, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This section defines the terms used in this Notice.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, Paws Source has collected the following categories of personal information from our California residents:

We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:
- Directly from you: Account registration, checkout processes, support requests, newsletter sign-ups, pet profile creation, and direct communications.
- Automatically: As you interact with our website, mobile applications, and digital services (e.g., cookies, web beacons, device identifiers).
- Third Parties: Service providers, payment processors, shipping partners, veterinary networks, and advertising partners.
3. Business & Commercial Purposes
We may collect, use, retain, and share the categories of personal information listed above for the following business purposes:
- To process transactions, provide pet care services, and fulfill orders
- To personalize user experience and recommend relevant products/services
- To communicate with users regarding orders, account updates, and support
- To prevent fraudulent transactions, secure our platforms, and ensure safety

4. Sale & Sharing of Personal Information
Under the CCPA/CPRA, "sale" or "sharing" includes exchanging personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, as well as cross-context behavioral advertising.
In the preceding twelve (12) months, Paws Source has NOT sold consumers' personal information. We share certain categories of personal information with service providers and third-party partners for the business purposes described above, strictly under contractual confidentiality and data processing obligations.
5. Your California Privacy Rights
Subject to certain limitations under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, sources, business purposes, and categories of third parties shared with.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal retention requirements).
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. (Note: We do not currently sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.)
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Limit Use & Sharing of Sensitive PII: Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, account credentials, health data) to what is necessary to perform services.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Exercise your privacy rights without being discriminated against.

Please include your name, email address associated with your account, and a detailed description of your request. For security, we may require additional verification.
7. Verification Process & Response Timeline
To protect your privacy, we may request additional information to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may submit up to two (2) verifiable requests within a twelve-month period. We will respond to your request within forty-five (45) days, with a possible one-time extension of up to forty-five (45) additional days if necessary.
8. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You may need to provide the agent with a signed written permission and verify your identity through our standard authentication process. We will not accept agent requests without proper verification.
9. Non-Discrimination
Paws Source will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. We will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service solely because you exercised your privacy rights. Any differences in pricing or benefits must be directly related to the value provided by your personal information.
10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this CCPA Notice periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this notice regularly.
