Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about in-clinic visits? We've got answers.

Do I need to fast my pet before the visit?

+

For a standard wellness exam, fasting is not required. However, if your vet plans to run blood work or perform surgery, we'll instruct you to fast your pet for 8–12 hours prior. We always notify you in your appointment confirmation email.

Can I bring multiple pets to one appointment?

+

Yes! You can book a single appointment for multiple pets. Please let us know in advance so we can allocate enough time for each pet. Each animal receives individual attention and a separate health report.

What should I bring to the clinic?

+

Bring your pet's medical records (if transitioning from another vet), a list of current medications, and any notes about symptoms or behavioral changes. Leash, carrier, and a favorite toy for comfort are also recommended.

Do you accept pet insurance?

+

Yes, we accept most major pet insurance providers. Our front desk can help you submit claims, and we provide detailed receipts and itemized invoices. Paws Source Pro and Elite members also receive additional discounts on all services.

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

+

You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment through your Paws Source account dashboard, by calling the clinic directly, or by emailing support@pawssource.com. Late cancellations may incur a $25 fee.

What if my pet is anxious or aggressive at the vet?

+

Our team is trained in fear-free handling techniques. We offer calm rooms, pheromone diffusers, and pre-visit anti-anxiety medications if needed. Let us know ahead of time so we can prepare a gentle, low-stress environment for your pet.
