Maintaining a safe, trustworthy, and vibrant crowdfunding ecosystem requires strict adherence to community standards. This section outlines behaviors and activities that are strictly prohibited on RaiseIt.
RaiseIt is dedicated to fostering an environment where creators and backers can connect, collaborate, and bring innovative ideas to life. To protect our community, we prohibit any conduct that undermines trust, violates laws, or harms other users.
By using the RaiseIt platform, you agree to comply with these guidelines. Violations may result in immediate suspension of accounts, withholding of funds, and legal action where applicable.
Fraud & Deception
- Fabricating campaign details, funding goals, or project timelines.
- Misrepresenting the nature, purpose, or risks of a campaign.
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating other users or entities.
- Using artificial means to inflate funding amounts or engagement metrics.
- Conducting "exit scams" or absconding with funds without delivering promises.
Illegal Activities
- Promoting or facilitating illegal goods, services, or activities.
- Campaigns involving weapons, drugs, endangered species, or stolen property.
- Engaging in money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
- Violating export control or trade restriction laws.
- Using the platform for gambling or unauthorized securities offerings.
Harassment & Abuse
- Threatening, bullying, or intimidating other users or community members.
- Posting hate speech, discrimination, or content promoting violence.
- Harassing creators, backers, or staff via comments or messages.
- Doxxing or sharing private information without consent.
- Engaging in coordinated harassment campaigns or brigading.
Platform Misuse
- Scraping, crawling, or data mining without prior authorization.
- Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate the platform.
- Circumventing fees, restrictions, or geographic limitations.
- Sending spam, phishing, or unsolicited commercial messages.
- Intentionally disrupting or interfering with platform functionality.
Intellectual Property Violations
- Submitting content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or patents.
- Using unauthorized likenesses, names, or branding of third parties.
- Reproducing or distributing others' creative work without permission.
- Claiming ownership of projects or content that belongs to others.
- Failing to honor IP removal requests issued by rights holders.
Financial Integrity
- Engaging in circular transactions to fabricate funding progress.
- Requesting early payout of funds without meeting eligibility criteria.
- Using stolen payment methods or unauthorized credit card information.
- Structuring contributions to avoid reporting thresholds.
- Accepting payments outside the platform to evade fees or protections.
⚠️ Enforcement & Consequences
RaiseIt reserves the right to enforce these guidelines at its sole discretion. Violations may result in one or more of the following actions:
• Content Removal: Immediate takedown of campaigns, comments, or user-generated content.
• Account Suspension: Temporary or permanent suspension of user accounts and access.
• Fund Withholding: Disbursement of raised funds may be paused or frozen pending investigation.
• Legal Action: Cooperation with law enforcement and pursuit of civil or criminal remedies where warranted.
• Refunds: Issuing refunds to backers if a campaign is terminated due to creator misconduct.
We evaluate each case on its merits and severity. Repeated or egregious violations will result in more severe penalties.
