Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

1 Eligibility & Health Disclosure

All participants must be at least 18 years of age, or accompanied by a legally responsible guardian who also signs these terms. You acknowledge that outdoor expeditions involve strenuous physical activity and variable environmental conditions.

• You must truthfully disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations during registration.
• SummitX reserves the right to require a medical clearance form for trips rated "Hard" or above.
• If your health condition changes prior to or during the trip, you must immediately notify your expedition guide.

2 Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

You acknowledge that outdoor adventure activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, or death arising from terrain, weather, wildlife, or equipment. By participating, you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks.

• You release, waive, and hold harmless SummitX Adventures, its owners, guides, affiliates, and staff from any liability related to personal injury, loss, or damage, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.
• You agree to carry your own travel and medical insurance that covers emergency evacuation and adventure activities.

3 Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations are processed based on the date of written notice relative to the expedition start date:

• 30+ days prior: 80% refund (minus administrative fee)
• 14–29 days prior: 50% refund or trip credit for future booking
• Less than 14 days: Non-refundable
• Operator or weather cancellations: Full refund or 100% trip credit

Refunds are issued within 10–14 business days to the original payment method.

4 Equipment, Conduct & Safety Compliance

SummitX provides group safety equipment and expedition essentials. Participants are responsible for personal gear as outlined in the trip-specific packing list. All participants must:

• Follow all instructions from certified guides without exception.
• Refrain from alcohol or recreational drug use during expedition hours.
• Adhere to Leave No Trace principles and respect local cultures and wildlife.
• Accept that guides may remove any participant from the trip immediately if safety is compromised.

5 Media Consent & Privacy

SummitX may photograph, video, or audio record participants during expeditions for operational, safety, or marketing purposes. By accepting these terms, you grant SummitX a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness in promotional materials.

Your personal data will be processed strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. You may request media removal by contacting support within 30 days of publication.

6 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction/State/Country]. Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with local commercial arbitration rules.
