Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions. Can't find what you need? Send us a message above.

How far in advance should I book my adventure?
+
We recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance for peak season trips (summer, holidays). For off-season adventures, 4-6 weeks is usually sufficient. Popular expeditions like Patagonia W Trek often fill up 6 months ahead. Check our adventures page for real-time availability.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
+
Full refund if cancelled 60+ days before departure. 50% refund for 30-60 days notice. Within 30 days, we offer trip credit for future adventures. In case of severe weather or force majeure, we provide full refunds or free rescheduling. See our full cancellation policy for details.
What fitness level do I need for your trips?
+
It depends on the trip. We rate each adventure as Easy, Medium, or Hard. Easy trips require basic walking ability. Medium trips need moderate cardiovascular fitness. Hard trips (peak climbing, long treks) require good physical conditioning. Each trip page includes detailed fitness requirements and preparation guides.
Do you provide gear or do I need my own?
+
We provide all group equipment (tents, cooking gear, safety equipment). Personal gear (boots, clothing, sleeping bags) should be brought by participants. However, we offer a full gear rental program at discounted rates. Check our gear guide for a detailed packing list specific to your chosen adventure.
Is travel insurance included in the trip cost?
+
Basic liability insurance is included with every booking. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation, evacuation, and personal belongings. We partner with WorldNomads and can help you get a quote during checkout.
Can I join a trip solo, or do I need a partner?
+
Absolutely! Many of our adventurers join solo. We have small group sizes (6-12 people) which makes it easy to meet fellow travelers. Solo participants pay the same rate as couples sharing a room, but we can arrange private accommodations for a small supplement. Solo travelers often tell us they made lifelong friends on our trips!
What happens if weather affects my trip?
+
Safety is our top priority. If severe weather threatens your adventure, our guides have the authority to modify routes, delay departures, or cancel the trip. Weather-related cancellations result in full refunds or free rescheduling. Our guides are trained in mountain weather patterns and carry advanced forecasting equipment.
Do you offer multi-trip discounts or loyalty programs?
+
Yes! Our SummitX Explorer Club offers 10% off your second trip and 15% off subsequent adventures. Book two trips within the same calendar year and get a free gear upgrade. We also offer early bird discounts (book 6+ months ahead) and group discounts (4+ people). Contact us for custom package deals.
