Our Commitment to Accessibility
At WealthGuard, we believe that financial independence and expert guidance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We are committed to ensuring our digital platforms, tools, and services are inclusive, usable, and compliant with international accessibility standards.
Our Pledge
WealthGuard is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We continuously audit our websites, mobile applications, and customer portals to identify and resolve barriers that may prevent individuals with disabilities from accessing our financial services.
How We Ensure Accessibility
- Semantic HTML & ARIA: Our sites use proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to ensure compatibility with screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements can be accessed and operated using a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators and logical tab order.
- Color Contrast & Typography: Text and interactive elements meet a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio. We use scalable, readable fonts and support browser zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality.
- Alternative Text: All informative images, charts, and financial graphs include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are properly hidden from assistive technologies.
- Document & Form Accessibility: Downloadable statements, reports, and tax documents are provided in accessible PDF/UA formats. All forms include clear labels, error identification, and instructions.
- Video & Multimedia: Educational videos and tutorials include synchronized captions, audio descriptions, and downloadable transcripts.
Assistive Technologies We Test With
We regularly test our platforms across a range of assistive technologies, including:
- Screen Readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack
- Browsers: ChromeVox, Firefox with ReadSpeaker, Edge Immersive Reader
- Switch Devices & Voice Control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Windows Speech Recognition
- Magnification: ZoomText, Windows Magnifier, macOS Zoom
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time goal. We incorporate automated accessibility testing into our development pipeline, conduct regular manual audits with disability advocates, and train our design and engineering teams on inclusive design principles. We welcome your feedback as we strive to improve.
