1. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account independently. Users under 18 must have parental/guardian consent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
2. Tutoring Conduct
All students, parents, and tutors must maintain a respectful, professional, and safe learning environment. Harassment, abuse, sharing of inappropriate content, or attempts to bypass platform safety features will result in immediate suspension or termination of accounts.
3. Intellectual Property
All course materials, study guides, platform design, and branded content are the exclusive property of BrightMinds Tutoring. You may use materials solely for personal educational purposes. Redistribution, commercial use, or modification without written permission is strictly prohibited.
4. Limitation of Liability
BrightMinds Tutoring provides educational support and does not guarantee specific academic outcomes, test scores, or college admissions results. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Session quality depends on consistent participation and effort from the student.
5. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in local courts of San Francisco County.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your tutoring experience. Our cancellation and refund guidelines are designed to be fair, transparent, and flexible.
Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your first paid session, we will issue a full refund or credit toward future sessionsโno questions asked.
1. Session Cancellation & Rescheduling
- 24-Hour Notice: Cancel or reschedule sessions at least 24 hours in advance at no charge.
- Less than 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled session will be charged at 50% of the session rate.
- No-Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice will be charged at 100%.
2. Subscription & Plan Changes
Monthly plans can be upgraded, downgraded, or canceled at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Unused session credits from the current month will be carried over or refunded proportionally, depending on the plan type.
3. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5โ7 business days and will be returned to the original payment method. For platform-specific credits, funds will be applied to your account balance immediately upon approval.
