1. Free Consultation & Trial
Our complimentary 30-minute consultation and trial session are provided at no cost. As such, they are non-refundable. If you experience any technical difficulties during your trial, contact our support team within 24 hours for a rescheduled session.
2. Single Session Refunds
Satisfaction Guarantee: If you attend your first paid session and feel it did not meet your expectations, we offer a full refund, provided you notify us within 24 hours of the session conclusion.
Subsequent Sessions: Single sessions are considered services rendered upon completion and are non-refundable unless BrightMinds cancels or experiences a technical failure on our end.
3. Monthly & Subscription Plans
- Within 14 days: Cancel anytime for a full pro-rated refund of unused sessions.
- After 14 days: Cancellations will not receive a cash refund but will receive account credit equivalent to 50% of unused sessions, valid for 6 months.
- Notice Period: Please provide at least 7 days' written notice before your billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.
4. Test Prep & Intensive Packages
Due to the specialized curriculum and reserved tutor bandwidth, test prep packages follow a tiered refund structure:
- 0–7 days after purchase: 100% refund
- 8–14 days after purchase: 75% refund
- 15–30 days after purchase: 50% refund
- After 30 days: 25% refund or full transfer to another student
Refunds exclude any digital materials, practice exams, or workbooks that have been accessed or shipped.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand schedules change. To ensure fair access to our tutors:
- 24+ hours notice: Free rescheduling or full credit to your account.
- Less than 24 hours notice: The session fee will be charged, but you may reschedule within 30 days at no extra cost.
- No-shows: Treated as attended sessions and are charged in full. Repeated no-shows may pause account privileges.
6. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, please follow these steps:
- Email support@brightminds.com with your account name, order/reference number, and reason for the request.
- Our billing team will review your request within 1–2 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are excluded from our refund policy:
- Physical study materials, textbooks, or kits that have been opened
- Gift cards once redeemed or activated
- Administrative or late payment fees
- Custom curriculum development beyond standard packages
8. Policy Updates
BrightMinds reserves the right to modify this policy to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws, or industry standards. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
