Overview

Dictionary's International Transfers module enables organizations to move data, licensing credentials, and financial settlements across borders with enterprise-grade security. Built on a global network of compliant nodes, our system supports 140+ currencies and automatic regulatory routing.

Note: International transfers are subject to regional compliance checks. Processing times vary by corridor but typically settle within 2–4 business hours for priority queues.

Supported Corridors

Our infrastructure supports direct routing for major economic regions. Select corridors feature instant settlement and reduced fees for enterprise volume tiers.

Region Currencies Avg. Settlement Compliance
North America → Europe USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, CHF 1–2 hours SEPA / SWIFT
Asia Pacific JPY, CNY, SGD, AUD, KRW 2–4 hours CIPS / RTGS
Latin America BRL, MXN, ARS, COP 4–6 hours Local Rails
Global Multi-Currency 140+ supported 2–24 hours Auto-Routing

Transfer Workflow

Initiating an international transfer follows a standardized four-step process designed for auditability and speed.

  1. 1

    Initiate & Validate

Submit transfer request via API or dashboard. System validates recipient credentials, currency pairs, and available liquidity pools.

  2. 2

    Compliance Screening

Automated KYC/AML checks run against global sanction lists. High-risk corridors trigger secondary manual review.

  3. 3

    Routing & Settlement

Funds/data are routed through optimal clearing channels. Real-time FX rates are locked for 30 seconds during processing.

  4. 4

    Confirmation & Reporting

Webhook notification sent upon completion. Transaction ID, receipt, and compliance audit trail are logged to your dashboard.

Security & Compliance

All international transfers are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Dictionary maintains SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS Level 1 certifications. Cross-border data movement complies with GDPR, CCPA, and regional banking regulations.

Integration Notes

The International Transfers API uses standard RESTful endpoints with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Rate limits are dynamically allocated based on your subscription tier. Webhooks support retry logic and signature verification.
