Is this suitable for my breed?
Absolutely. Advanced obedience is breed-agnostic. Whether you have a high-drive Border Collie, a stubborn Bulldog, or a rescue mix, our methods adapt to your dog's learning style and temperament. We focus on positive reinforcement and engagement rather than force.
What prerequisites are required?
Dogs should have completed our Basic Obedience course or demonstrate solid knowledge of sit, down, stay, come, and loose-leash walking. Dogs must also be up-to-date on vaccinations and at least 6 months of age.
How is the group class structured?
Classes meet twice a week for 12 weeks. Each session includes a 30-minute group component for social proofing and a 30-minute private coaching slot where your trainer works one-on-one with you and your dog on specific challenges.
Can I do this program privately?
Yes! We offer a private advanced package that mirrors the group curriculum but allows for a fully customized pace and location. You can train in your home, local parks, or specific high-distraction environments relevant to your lifestyle.
Will this prepare my dog for competition?
While this program isn't a formal competition prep course, the skills taught align closely with Novice and Open level obedience trials. Many of our graduates go on to compete in CGC, TCGC, and AKC Obedience tests successfully.
