10. Changes to Terms

10.1 Right to Modify

RaiseIt reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Service at any time. Such modifications may be necessary to comply with legal requirements, respond to regulatory changes, improve platform security, or reflect new features and services.

Any changes to these terms will be effective upon posting on the RaiseIt website or platform, unless otherwise specified. We encourage all users, including Campaign Creators and Backers, to review these Terms periodically.

10.2 Notification Process

We are committed to keeping you informed about changes that may affect your use of the platform. Our notification process depends on the nature and significance of the changes:

• Minor Changes: Updates to formatting, contact information, or clarifications that do not materially alter rights or obligations will be posted directly to this page with the "Last Updated" date changed.
• Moderate Changes: Changes that affect platform features, fee structures, or user policies will be communicated via in-app notifications and email to registered account holders at least 14 days prior to the effective date.
• Significant Changes: Material changes to core terms, including privacy practices, fee models, or dispute resolution processes, will be communicated via multiple channels including email, prominent website banners, and in-app alerts at least 30 days prior to the effective date.

10.3 Effective Dates

Each revision of these Terms will display the date it was last updated at the top of this document. The "Effective Date" indicates when the changes become binding. In cases where immediate changes are required for legal, regulatory, or security reasons, changes may be effective immediately upon posting.

10.4 Continued Use & Acceptance

Your continued use of the RaiseIt platform after the Effective Date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Service. If you do not agree with the changes, you must discontinue your use of the platform and cancel your account prior to the Effective Date.

For Campaign Creators, failure to accept new terms while maintaining an active campaign may result in suspension of campaign functionality until acceptance is confirmed.

10.5 Significant Changes to Pledge Obligations

RaiseIt recognizes the importance of trust between Creators and Backers. Therefore, we will not implement changes to these Terms that retroactively alter the core obligations of fulfilled pledges or completed transactions without explicit notice and, where feasible, a transition period.

Specifically, changes affecting:

• Pledge cancellation policies
• Reward fulfillment timelines
• Dispute resolution mechanisms
• Fund release conditions for already-funded campaigns

Will require at least 60 days' notice and may be subject to grandfathering for existing active campaigns.
