Dispute Resolution Process

A transparent, fair, and structured approach to resolving conflicts between backers, creators, and platform stakeholders.

âš–ī¸ Resolution Process

We follow a standardized 5-step framework designed to address disputes efficiently while protecting the rights of all parties involved.

Direct Communication

Parties are encouraged to resolve issues directly first. RaiseIt provides in-app messaging tools to facilitate transparent dialogue before escalation.

Formal Dispute Submission

If direct resolution fails, submit a formal dispute via our portal. Include relevant transaction IDs, communication logs, and clear descriptions of the issue.

Review & Investigation

Our dedicated dispute team reviews all submitted evidence, verifies platform records, and may request additional documentation from either party within 72 hours.

Mediation Phase

A neutral mediator assigned by RaiseIt facilitates a structured negotiation. Both parties receive a proposed resolution framework based on platform policies and evidence.

Final Resolution

If mediation succeeds, terms are documented and executed. If not, the dispute moves to binding arbitration or platform enforcement action per our Terms of Service.

📋 Covered Dispute Categories

Our framework addresses the most common conflicts that arise in crowdfunding ecosystems.

đŸ“Ļ Delivery & Fulfillment

Delays, missing rewards, damaged goods, or failure to deliver backed items within the committed timeframe.

💸 Refund & Payment Issues

Duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, campaign cancellations, or disputed withdrawal requests.

Šī¸ Intellectual Property

Allegations of copied concepts, trademark infringement, or unauthorized use of creative assets on the platform.

đŸšĢ Platform Misuse

False advertising, misrepresentation of project status, coordinated fake backing, or violation of community guidelines.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about our dispute resolution framework.

No. All disputes require verified accounts to ensure accountability and prevent fraudulent claims. Your identity is protected during mediation and only shared with the opposing party if resolution requires direct negotiation.
If a creator becomes unresponsive for 14+ days post-funding, RaiseIt initiates a missing creator protocol. Funds are secured, and backers enter a priority refund queue. Severe cases may trigger platform enforcement and legal referral.
Platform mediation recommendations are strongly encouraged but not legally binding. However, our Terms of Service include a mandatory arbitration clause for unresolved disputes, which is legally enforceable under applicable consumer protection laws.
Filing a dispute is completely free. RaiseIt absorbs all administrative costs. If arbitration is required, standard third-party arbitration fees apply, typically shared equally or assigned to the non-prevailing party.
