Overview

RaiseIt is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and efficient environment for creators and backers. While we strive to prevent conflicts through clear guidelines and proactive support, disputes may occasionally arise regarding campaign fulfillment, fund disbursement, intellectual property, or platform usage.

This policy outlines how RaiseIt handles disputes, the procedures available to resolve conflicts, and your rights and obligations under our platform terms.

Our Commitment to Fair Resolution

When a dispute arises, our primary goal is to reach a resolution that is equitable, timely, and respectful of all parties involved. We maintain an independent Dispute Resolution Team trained in mediation, platform policy enforcement, and consumer protection standards.

â„šī¸

Platform Neutrality

RaiseIt acts as a facilitator between creators and backers. While we enforce our Terms of Service and Campaign Guidelines, we are not a party to individual transaction agreements unless explicitly required by law.

Dispute Resolution Process

All disputes submitted to RaiseIt follow a structured four-step resolution pathway designed to resolve issues efficiently without unnecessary escalation.

1

Report & Documentation

Submit a formal dispute report through your account dashboard. Include all relevant evidence: messages, transaction IDs, campaign updates, and supporting documents.

2

Initial Review

Our Dispute Team reviews the submission within 3–5 business days. We may request additional information from either party to establish facts.

3

Mediation Attempt

If both parties agree, we facilitate structured mediation. Our moderators help clarify misunderstandings, propose compromises, and draft resolution agreements.

4

Final Decision

If mediation fails or is declined, our team issues a binding platform decision based on our Terms of Service, applicable law, and verified evidence. Funds may be held in escrow during review.

Mediation & Arbitration

For disputes that cannot be resolved through our internal process, RaiseIt encourages formal mediation or binding arbitration as an alternative to litigation.

  • Mediation: A voluntary, non-binding process where a neutral third party helps negotiate a mutually acceptable outcome. We recommend the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or equivalent international bodies.
  • Binding Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes may proceed to confidential, binding arbitration. Awards are final and enforceable. Class actions and jury trials are waived in favor of individual arbitration.

Important Notice

Participation in mediation or arbitration does not waive your legal rights, but it does streamline resolution and typically reduces time and costs significantly.

Limitations of Liability

RaiseIt provides the platform, payment processing infrastructure, and dispute resolution services. We do not guarantee the success of campaigns, the quality of rewards, or the performance of creators. Our liability is strictly limited to the terms outlined in our Terms of Service and applicable consumer protection laws. We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party claims or damages arising from creator-backer agreements
  • Loss of profit, indirect damages, or consequential losses
  • Technical disruptions beyond our reasonable control
  • Unfulfilled pledges where creators act in bad faith despite platform warnings

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Dispute Resolution Policy and all platform-related matters shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Except for disputes resolved through binding arbitration as described above, parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.

International users acknowledge that by using RaiseIt, they consent to these terms and the designated jurisdiction for legal matters not subject to mandatory local consumer protection statutes.
