1. Introduction & Scope
This policy applies to all users of Webui, including individual creators, design teams, and enterprise clients. It works in conjunction with our main Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Wherever we reference "your information," we mean any data you provide, data generated by your use of our tools, or information we collect automatically.
Key Principle: We never sell your personal information or design files to third parties. Your work remains yours, and your data is used strictly to deliver, secure, and improve the Webui platform.
2. What Information We Use
We categorize the information we process into three main groups to ensure appropriate handling:

We use only what is necessary to operate the platform, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. You can manage or delete much of this data through your account settings.
3. Primary Use Cases
We process your information for the following specific purposes:
- Service Delivery & Functionality: To render your projects, sync changes across devices, generate code exports, and maintain real-time collaboration features.
- Personalization & Experience: To remember your workspace preferences, recently edited projects, theme selections, and language settings.
- Security & Abuse Prevention: To verify identities, detect unauthorized access, prevent spam/malware, and protect our infrastructure.
- Billing & Subscriptions: To process payments, issue invoices, manage team seat allocations, and handle refunds in accordance with our pricing terms.
- Customer Support: To respond to tickets, troubleshoot issues, and provide onboarding assistance when you contact our support team.
- Service Improvement: To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns that help us optimize performance, develop new components, and refine the user interface.
- Legal & Compliance: To meet regulatory requirements, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI & Automated Code Generation
Webui includes AI-assisted features that can auto-suggest layouts, generate responsive CSS, or convert design tokens into code. Here’s how we handle this:
- Your design data is processed temporarily to generate suggestions. We do not retain your project files for model training without explicit consent.
- Generated code is stored in your project history and can be exported or deleted at any time.
- Enterprise customers can enable Private AI Processing, which routes all AI requests through isolated, non-training environments.
- Opting out of AI features is available in
Settings → AI & Automation. Disabling this will remove AI suggestions but will not affect core platform functionality.
5. Sharing & Third-Party Services
We may share your information only when necessary and under strict contractual controls:
- Infrastructure Providers: Hosting, CDN, and storage services (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare) required to run Webui.
- Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal, or equivalent providers to handle billing securely.
- Collaboration Tools: Slack, GitHub, or Figma integrations, only when you explicitly connect them.
- Legal Requirements: When compelled by law, court order, or to protect the rights/safety of Webui or its users.
All third-party vendors are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes. We regularly audit our vendor ecosystem for compliance.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information only as long as necessary:
- Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account is active.
- Inactive Accounts: If unused for 12 months, projects are archived. After 24 months, accounts are scheduled for deletion unless you contact us.
- Billing & Legal Data: Retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
You can request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through your dashboard or by contacting privacy@webui.io.
7. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar frameworks. You can:
- Access, correct, or export your personal data
- Request deletion or restriction of processing
- Opt out of marketing communications (transactional emails cannot be opted out)
