Assembly Overview

The Aevum General Assembly operates as a transparent, merit-weighted democratic forum. Every verified contributor with 12+ months of sustained activity and a trust score above 850 may apply for delegate status. The Assembly meets quarterly for policy reviews and annually for the Grand Session, where binding resolutions on platform architecture, content standards, and community funding are put to vote.

Unlike traditional editorial boards, our model emphasizes distributed expertise. Regional caucuses ensure linguistic and cultural representation, while technical working groups maintain alignment with academic rigor and ethical AI standards.

⚖️ Steering Council

12 elected members serving staggered 3-year terms. Oversees resolution enforcement, budget allocation, and cross-committee coordination.

🌐 Regional Delegates

Representatives elected by geographic and linguistic clusters. Ensure equitable representation across 140+ language communities.

🔬 Subject Committees

Domain-specific panels (Science, History, Technology, Arts, etc.) that review technical standards and propose domain-specific policies.

How Proposals Work

Every policy change, feature rollout, or content guideline passes through a rigorous, transparent pipeline designed to balance speed with scholarly accuracy.

1. Draft & Publication

Any delegate or verified contributor may submit a proposal to the public ledger. Drafts include impact analysis, precedent references, and implementation timelines.

2. Committee Review

Relevant subject committees and the Steering Council conduct technical review, flag conflicts, and suggest amendments. Public comment period: 14 days.

3. Assembly Vote

Registered delegates cast weighted votes based on domain expertise and contribution history. Supermajority (66.7%) required for constitutional amendments; simple majority for operational policies.

4. Implementation & Audit

Approved resolutions are executed by engineering and editorial teams. Quarterly compliance audits ensure adherence, with sunset clauses triggering automatic review.
