01 Editorial Standards & Ethics

At Aevum News, credibility is our currency. Our editorial team adheres to internationally recognized journalistic principles, ensuring every published piece meets the highest thresholds of accuracy, fairness, and accountability.

• Verification First: Every claim must be corroborated by at least two independent, credible sources before publication.
• Separation of Church & State: Editorial content is strictly separated from advertising, sponsored content, and business operations.
• Conflict of Interest: Journalists must disclose any personal, financial, or professional ties to subjects they cover. Undisclosed conflicts result in immediate editorial review.
• Impartiality: We report facts without partisan bias. Opinion pieces are clearly labeled and separated from straight news reporting.
• Humanity & Dignity: We avoid sensationalism, trauma exploitation, and graphic imagery. Subject welfare is prioritized over click-through metrics.

02 Contributor & Submission Guidelines

We welcome pitch proposals, op-eds, investigative tips, and freelance contributions from credentialed journalists and subject-matter experts worldwide.

How to Submit:

• Pitches: Email our editorial desk with a clear subject line: [PITCH] Your Topic - Your Name. Include a 150-word abstract, relevance to our audience, and your bio.
• Op-Eds & Commentary: Must be 800–1,200 words. Cite sources. Must include a disclosure statement if applicable. No previously published material.
• Photography & Video: High-resolution only. Must include model/property releases where legally required. Credit will be attributed per your specifications.
• Turnaround: We acknowledge all submissions within 48 hours. Accepted pitches undergo standard editorial review before publication.

03 Community & Commenting Policy

Our comment sections are designed for constructive dialogue, debate, and reader insights. We moderate actively to maintain a respectful environment.

• Be Civil: Disagreement is welcome; harassment, hate speech, slurs, and personal attacks are strictly prohibited.
• Stay On Topic: Comments must relate to the article. Off-topic spam, chain replies, and promotional links will be removed.
• Privacy Respect: Do not share private information about yourself or others. Doxers will be permanently banned.
• Fact-Backed Claims: Assertions presented as facts should be supported. Unverifiable conspiracy theories or misinformation will be flagged.

Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines will face temporary suspension or permanent removal from our platform. Appeals can be submitted to moderation@aevumnews.com.

04 Copyright & Usage Rights

All original content published on Aevum News—text, photography, video, infographics, and design assets—is protected under international copyright law and remains the intellectual property of Aevum News unless otherwise stated.

• Personal Use: You may share links to our articles on social media or print single copies for private reading.
• Republishing: We offer a licensed content syndication program. Contact licensing@aevumnews.com for bulk republishing or API access.
• Quotes & Excerpts: Fair use allows brief quotations (under 200 words) for commentary, criticism, or news reporting, provided full attribution and a direct link back to the original article are included.
• AI Training: Our editorial content is explicitly excluded from unauthorized machine-learning datasets. Please respect our robots.txt directives and content licensing terms.

05 Corrections & Accountability

Journalism is imperfect. When we make errors, we correct them transparently and promptly.

• Material Errors: Factual inaccuracies that change the meaning of an article will be corrected immediately, with a timestamped note at the bottom of the piece.
• Clarifications: Minor updates or contextual additions will be appended without altering the original publication time.
• Retractions: In rare cases of severe ethical breaches or unrecoverable inaccuracy, articles will be fully retracted with a public statement explaining the circumstances.
• Reader Feedback: Spot an error? Use our "Report an Issue" button at the bottom of any article. Our editorial desk reviews all reports within 24 hours.
