📅 Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's how it works:

• Monthly plans: Cancel anytime with 7 days' notice. No further charges will be applied.
• Annual plans: Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Pro-rated refund available for unused months.
• Session rescheduling: Free rescheduling with 24 hours' notice (4 hours with Flexible Scheduling add-on).
• Session cancellation: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a 50% fee.

Common questions about pricing, billing, payments, and account management.

How does the free trial work? +

Your free trial gives you access to one full tutoring session at no cost — no credit card required. During the trial, you'll be matched with a tutor and experience a complete session. After the trial, you can choose any plan or continue with pay-per-session pricing.

Can I switch plans mid-month? +

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, the price difference will be credited to your account for future billing cycles.

What happens if I miss a session? +

If you cancel with 24+ hours notice, the session is fully rescheduled at no charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice count as used sessions. If you miss without notice, the session is considered used. Premium plan members can reschedule with just 4 hours' notice.

Are unused sessions carried over? +

Unused sessions from your monthly plan roll over to the next month, up to a maximum of 2 additional sessions. For example, if your Standard plan includes 4 sessions and you use 2, you'll have 6 sessions available the next month. This encourages flexible scheduling.

Can I get an invoice for my billing department? +

Absolutely. All invoices are available in your account dashboard and can be downloaded as PDF. You can also set up automatic invoice delivery to a company email address. For organizations and schools, we offer net-30 payment terms and custom invoicing.

Do you offer discounts for schools or groups? +

Yes! We offer special pricing for schools, homeschool co-ops, and groups of 5+ students. Volume discounts range from 10-30% depending on group size. Contact our partnerships team at partnerships@brightminds.com for a custom quote.

How do I update my payment method? +

You can update your payment method anytime from your account dashboard under Settings → Billing → Payment Methods. Changes take effect immediately and will apply to your next billing cycle. We never store your full card number on our servers.

Is there a contract or commitment period? +

No long-term contracts! Monthly plans can be cancelled with 7 days' notice. Annual plans require 30 days' notice but offer 20% savings compared to monthly billing. The only "commitment" is the annual billing cycle if you choose that option.
