How to Choose the Right Size

Maximize customer satisfaction and minimize waste with these quick tips.

📏

Measure Your Lids First

Cup sizes are defined by top diameter. Ensure your lids match the exact rim measurement to prevent leaks.

🌡️

Hot vs. Cold Applications

Hot drinks require double-wall PE-lined paper. Cold drinks work best with single-wall PET or PLA compostable cups.

📦

Consider Sleeve Fit

Standard sleeves fit 12oz–16oz cups. Larger sizes often skip sleeves due to double-wall insulation.

📉

Reduce Oversizing Waste

Offer 2–3 size options max. Most customers choose medium or large. Stock accordingly to cut costs.

Common Sizing Questions

Quick answers for buyers and café operators.

Are cup sizes exact to the advertised capacity?
Manufactured capacities are nominal. Actual fill volume is typically 85–90% of the labeled size to account for safe handling, lids, and foam. Always leave a 5–10% headspace.
What's the difference between single-wall and double-wall?
Single-wall cups are thin, cost-effective, and ideal for cold drinks. Double-wall cups have an air gap for insulation, keeping hot drinks warm while protecting hands from heat.
Do your cups fit standard dispensers and lid machines?
Yes. Our cups follow industry-standard rim profiles. They are compatible with major auto-lidding systems, sleeve dispensers, and espresso machines from top manufacturers.
Can I get custom sizes or special diameters?
For orders over 50,000 units, we can manufacture custom heights, tapers, and rim widths. Contact our sales team for a private mold quote.
