DMCA & Copyright Policy
DirConnect Directory respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We take the protection of copyright and other intellectual property rights seriously. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement and the process for filing a counter-notice in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf and believe that content available on or through our platform infringes your copyright, please submit a notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. We will investigate and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material.

2. Required Information for DMCA Notice
To process your request efficiently, your notification must include the following information as required by law:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- A description of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and where it is located on our platform (including specific URLs).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. The counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or any Federal Court within 100 miles of such address if outside the U.S.).
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement.
Note: If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complaining party, who will then have 10-14 business days to inform us that they have filed a legal action against you. If no action is filed within that period, we may restore the removed material.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
DirConnect Directory has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also at our sole discretion limit access to the Service and terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
5. Automated Systems & Fair Use
We employ automated systems to detect potentially infringing content. These systems may flag content based on algorithms and patterns. We also respect Fair Use rights under applicable law. If you believe your content qualifies as Fair Use, you should include this information in your counter-notice.
6. Changes to This Policy
DirConnect Directory reserves the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
