Guidelines for ethical, professional, and secure engagement with Isdomain's naming, branding, and legal consulting services.

1. Scope & Applicability

This User Conduct Policy governs all interactions with Isdomain, including but not limited to service inquiries, client consultations, platform usage, brand naming submissions, trademark research, and legal advisory engagements. By accessing or utilizing any Isdomain service, client portal, or communication channel, you agree to comply with these guidelines.

This policy applies to individual founders, startup teams, corporate clients, agencies, and third-party partners engaging with Isdomain for naming, branding, domain registration, or legal basics consulting.

2. Acceptable Conduct

We foster a professional, collaborative, and respectful environment. Acceptable conduct includes:

  • Providing accurate, honest, and complete information during onboarding and project scoping.
  • Respecting intellectual property rights and acknowledging trademark boundaries during naming exploration.
  • Maintaining professional communication with our consultants, legal advisors, and brand strategists.
  • Using delivered brand assets, domain registrations, and legal documents solely for authorized business purposes.
  • Participating constructively in feedback sessions and brand strategy workshops.

3. Prohibited Activities

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of services or legal action:

  • Attempting to register, purchase, or use brand names that infringe upon existing trademarks, copyrights, or third-party intellectual property.
  • Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent business information for entity formation or trademark filing.
  • Using Isdomain's services to facilitate cyber squatting, brand hijacking, or deceptive domain speculation.
  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or misappropriating proprietary branding frameworks or legal templates provided during engagements.
  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against Isdomain staff, partners, or other clients.
  • Reselling, licensing, or distributing Isdomain's strategic deliverables without explicit written authorization.
Note: Brand names suggested by Isdomain are provided for client consideration only. Final selection and registration remain the client's responsibility, subject to official trademark office approval.

4. Intellectual Property & Trademark Respect

Isdomain operates at the intersection of creative naming and legal protection. We require all users to uphold the highest standards of IP integrity:

  • Pre-engagement trademark screenings are mandatory for all naming projects.
  • Clients must disclose existing IP portfolios, pending applications, or known conflicts.
  • Isdomain reserves the right to refuse naming projects that conflict with our ethical guidelines or active client portfolios.
  • Upon project completion and final payment, all approved brand assets and deliverables are transferred to the client, subject to the terms of the engagement agreement.

5. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Your business concepts, naming ideas, and legal requirements are treated as strictly confidential. We adhere to GDPR, CCPA, and industry-standard data security practices:

  • All communications, project files, and client data are encrypted and stored securely.
  • Isdomain staff and contractors are bound by non-disclosure agreements.
  • Clients must protect shared credentials for domain registrars, trademark portals, and client dashboards.
  • Data retention follows a 3-year post-engagement policy, after which files are securely archived or deleted per client request.

6. Reporting Violations

We rely on transparency to maintain a safe and professional ecosystem. If you encounter conduct that violates this policy, please report it immediately via:

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Isdomain maintains a strict no-retaliation policy for good-faith reporters.

7. Enforcement & Remedies

Violations of this User Conduct Policy may result in, but are not limited to:

  • Written warning and required corrective action
  • Suspension or termination of ongoing services
  • Forfeiture of project deposits in cases of material breach
  • Referral to legal counsel for IP infringement or fraudulent activity
  • Permanent ban from Isdomain platforms and future service eligibility

Isdomain reserves the right to pursue civil or criminal remedies where applicable law permits.

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised to reflect changes in trademark law, domain registration regulations, or Isdomain's service offerings. Updates will be communicated via email and client portal notifications. Continued use of our services following publication constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
