Section 5: Prohibited Conduct
SereneMind is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and clinically responsible environment for mental wellness and mindfulness practice. To protect our users, clinicians, and community, the following conduct is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action where applicable.
5.1 Harmful, Abusive, or Discriminatory Behavior
Users must not engage in conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment & Bullying: Targeting individuals or groups with repeated negative behavior, intimidation, or psychological manipulation.
- Hate Speech & Discrimination: Content that demeans, threatens, or attacks based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or national origin.
- Threats & Incitement: Threatening physical harm, self-harm, or violence against others, or encouraging harmful activities.
- Stalking & Doxxing: Tracking, monitoring, or publishing another user’s private information without consent.
5.2 Misuse of Therapeutic & Wellness Services
Our platform is designed for mental health support and mindfulness education, not as a substitute for emergency care or medical diagnosis. Prohibited actions include:
- Clinical Boundary Violations: Attempting to form personal, romantic, or financial relationships with licensed therapists or counselors.
- Misrepresentation of Needs: Using therapy sessions to fabricate medical records, obtain invalid prescriptions, or deceive clinicians.
- Self-Harm or Crisis Misuse: Using community spaces or direct messaging to coordinate, glorify, or instruct others in self-harm or suicide.
- Non-Compliance with Safety Protocols: Ignoring clinical hold notices or platform safety interventions during elevated risk periods.
5.3 Privacy, Data, & Security Violations
User privacy and platform integrity are foundational to our mission. The following activities are strictly forbidden:
- Unauthorized Data Collection: Scraping, crawling, or harvesting user profiles, session data, or clinical information without explicit permission.
- Privacy Breaches: Sharing, recording, or distributing another user’s session transcripts, voice notes, or personal health information (PHI).
- Account Compromise: Sharing login credentials, using unauthorized third-party access tokens, or exploiting API endpoints.
- Phishing & Social Engineering: Attempting to extract sensitive information from users, staff, or contractors under false pretenses.
5.4 Intellectual Property & Content Violations
All guided meditations, therapy frameworks, audio content, and educational materials are protected. Users may not:
- Unauthorized Redistribution: Reproducing, reselling, or hosting SereneMind content on external platforms, marketplaces, or AI training datasets.
- Plagiarism & Misattribution: Claiming ownership of platform-created wellness programs, journaling prompts, or clinical workbooks.
- Trademark Infringement: Using the SereneMind name, logo, or similar branding to imply endorsement or affiliation.
5.5 Platform Fraud & Misrepresentation
Authenticity is essential for trust. The following behaviors violate our terms:
- Impersonation: Pretending to be a SereneMind employee, licensed clinician, administrator, or public figure.
- False Credentials: Representing oneself as a certified therapist, coach, or medical professional without valid, verifiable licensure.
- Payment Fraud: Using stolen payment methods, chargeback abuse, or exploiting promotional offers through synthetic identities.
- Bot & Automation Abuse: Using scripts, scrapers, or AI agents to manipulate community engagement, review ratings, or waitlists.
5.6 Enforcement & Consequences
SereneMind reserves the right to take appropriate action when violations occur, including but not limited to:
- Issuing formal warnings or requiring completion of community restoration training
- Temporarily or permanently suspending account access
- Removing or restricting access to specific features, groups, or content
- Withholding refunds or credits for accounts terminated due to severe misconduct
- Cooperating with law enforcement or regulatory bodies when illegal activity is suspected
Decisions regarding enforcement are made by our Trust & Safety team in consultation with clinical advisors and legal counsel. Appeals may be submitted within 14 days of notification.
5.7 Reporting Violations
If you observe behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it promptly through:
- In-App Reporting: Use the flag or report button on profiles, messages, or community posts.

- Emergency Situations: See the notice below for crisis resources.
All reports are reviewed confidentially within 48 hours. Retaliation against reporters is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
