Our Commitment
Webui is dedicated to creating digital experiences that are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We understand that accessibility is not just a feature — it's a fundamental right and a core part of our mission.
We follow the principles of Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR) to ensure our platform can be used by people with a wide range of abilities, including:
- Visual impairments, including blindness and low vision
- Hearing impairments, including deafness and hard of hearing
- Mobility or dexterity limitations
- Speech disabilities
- Cognitive and neurological differences
- Temporary conditions (e.g., a broken arm, being in a bright environment)
Our Pledge
We pledge to continuously improve the accessibility of our platform, conduct regular audits, train our team, and respond to accessibility concerns from our users in a timely manner. If you encounter any barriers, please let us know — we're here to help.
Standards & Guidelines
Webui adheres to internationally recognized accessibility standards. Our primary reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
We also align with the following legal and regulatory frameworks where applicable:
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (United States)
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Directive (EU) 2019/882
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Equality Act 2010 (United Kingdom)
Our design system and component library are built from the ground up with these standards in mind, ensuring that every element meets at least WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
Compliance Status
Below is a summary of our current conformance status with WCAG 2.2. We undergo quarterly accessibility audits to maintain and improve our compliance.
| Level | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Level A | Conforms | All Level A success criteria are met across our platform and generated output. |
| Level AA | Conforms | All Level AA success criteria are met. This is our primary target compliance level. |
| Level AAA | Partial | Some AAA criteria are met. We continue to work toward full AAA conformance where technically feasible. |
This table shows Webui's conformance status with WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines at each level.
Accessibility Features
Our platform includes a comprehensive set of accessibility features designed to support users with diverse needs:
Screen Reader Support
Full compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. All interactive elements include proper ARIA labels and roles.
Keyboard Navigation

If you use an assistive technology not listed above and encounter issues, please report it to us. We actively work to broaden our compatibility.
Accessibility in Generated Content
One of Webui's core strengths is generating accessible code. When you design with Webui, the output is built to meet accessibility standards by default:
- Semantic HTML — Proper heading levels, landmarks, and element usage
- ARIA attributes — Correctly applied where native semantics are insufficient
- Focus management — Logical focus order and visible focus indicators
- Accessible forms — Proper labels, fieldsets, error messages, and instructions
- Media accessibility — Captions for video, transcripts for audio, and alt text workflows
- Motion preferences — Respects
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting - High contrast mode — Compatible with OS-level high contrast settings
⚠️ A Note for Users
While Webui generates accessible markup by default, the final accessibility of your website also depends on the content you provide. We recommend reviewing our Accessibility Best Practices Guide for tips on writing accessible content, choosing accessible color combinations, and adding meaningful alt descriptions to your images.
