Lumina (originally known as "DataVision AI") was a pre-seed startup building an AI-powered business analytics platform. The Challenge

3. Legal Vulnerability: Operating as a sole proprietorship with no IP protection left them exposed to competitors and complicated their Series A fundraising.

4. Domain Unavailability: Their desired domain was parked at a premium price of $45,000, and social handles were inconsistent across platforms.

💡 Our Solution

We implemented a comprehensive three-phase approach:

Phase 1: Strategic Naming (Weeks 1–2)

Through deep market research, competitor analysis, and linguistic screening across 15 languages, we developed 47 name concepts. After rigorous trademark screening and domain availability checks, "Lumina" emerged — evoking clarity, intelligence, and illumination.

Phase 2: Brand Identity (Weeks 3–5)

We designed a modern, minimalist visual identity featuring a light-ray logo mark, a deep navy and electric blue color palette, and a comprehensive brand guidelines document covering typography, voice, and application examples.

Phase 3: Legal Protection (Weeks 6–8)

We structured the business as a Delaware C-Corp, filed trademarks in the US, EU, UK, Japan, and Singapore, drafted investorSAFE agreements, and secured all digital assets including the .com domain and 12 social media handles.
