Warranty Overview

MetalCore Manufacturing stands behind the quality, precision, and durability of every component we produce. Our warranty policies are designed to protect your investment, minimize downtime, and ensure complete compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and FDA where applicable).

All warranties are governed by the terms outlined in this document. Coverage begins on the date of delivery or installation, as applicable, and requires proper handling, storage, and usage per our engineering specifications.

Product Warranty Coverage

Standard warranty periods vary by component type, material grade, and application environment. Extended warranty programs are available for qualifying production contracts.

Component Category Standard Warranty Extended Option Coverage Scope
CNC Machined Parts 12 Months Up to 36 Months Defects in material/workmanship, dimensional tolerance failures
Sheet Metal & Fabricated Assemblies 18 Months Up to 48 Months Weld integrity, structural failures, coating adhesion
Injection Molded Components 12 Months Up to 24 Months Material degradation, dimensional drift, surface defects
Die Cast Parts 24 Months Up to 60 Months Casting porosity, cracks, mechanical property failures
Medical & Aerospace Certified Parts Per Customer Spec Custom Agreements Full traceability, regulatory compliance, zero-defect assurance

Note: Warranty periods are void if components are modified, repaired by unauthorized third parties, or subjected to environments outside their rated specifications.

Service & Installation Warranty

MetalCore provides a 90-day warranty on all installation, calibration, and on-site integration services performed by our certified technical teams. Coverage includes:

  • Incorrect assembly or mounting per provided engineering drawings
  • Calibration errors within specified tolerances
  • Failure of installed components directly attributable to installation procedures

Service warranties do not cover damage resulting from customer-provided utilities (power, compressed air, coolant), improper site preparation, or subsequent modifications.

Limitations & Exclusions

The following are explicitly excluded from all MetalCore Manufacturing warranties:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Consumable components, seals, gaskets, and parts subject to expected operational degradation.
  • Improper Maintenance: Failure to follow recommended lubrication, cleaning, or inspection schedules.
  • Force Majeure: Damage from floods, fires, lightning, shipping mishandling by third-party carriers, or extreme environmental exposure.
  • Unauthorized Modifications: Machining, heat treatment, or coating alterations performed without MetalCore written approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I verify if my component is still under warranty?
Locate the certification tag or COC (Certificate of Conformance) shipped with your order. The delivery date and serial lot number determine your coverage window. You can also enter your PO number in the contact form below for a direct status check.
Do warranties cover surface coating failures (anodizing, powder coat)?
Yes, surface treatments are covered for peeling, blistering, or adhesion failure within the standard warranty period, provided the part has not been exposed to solvents, abrasive cleaning, or temperatures exceeding the coating specification.
Can I transfer a warranty to a new owner or facility?
Warranties are generally non-transferable and tied to the original purchasing entity. However, extended commercial agreements may include assignable coverage. Contact our customer success team for details.
What documentation is required for a claim?
We require: 1) Original PO/Invoice copy, 2) Part serial/lot number, 3) Clear photos or CMM reports showing the defect, 4) Description of operating conditions at time of failure. Submit these via our claim form or warranty portal.
